Date: Late Fall - 1998

This was the first real piece I completed in the Jazz Fusion/Funk vein. I listen to this piece today with a certain amount of fondness. It was a turning point in my music and marked the beginning of about a dozen or so pieces with a Jazz Fusion flavor.

One thing I notice when listening to Jabber Dabber now is how conservative I was with effects; the recording is very dry. This gives the piece a certain quaintness and is a refection, I think, of how I was still growing as a recording artist, trying to find the right balance between effects and the sounds they are applied to.
