Music

I've always had a passion for music. As a child, I was fascinated by the ability to take a musical instrument and use it to make music. It seemed like magic. As a teenager, I began playing the guitar. My focus was mainly rock. Eventually, my father bought me a Gibson Les Paul, which I still own. I spent hours and hours playing and became a fairly good guitarist.

Leaving my teenage years behind, I also left the guitar behind as well. I turned to using computers to write and perform music. Where guitar heroes such as Jimmy Page, Alex Lifeson, and Eddie Van Halen had been my inspiration as a teenager, musicians like Chick Corea, Bela Fleck and the Fleck Tones, and Tribal Tech became the source of inspiration for me in my 20s and into my 30s.

Eventually, though, I returned to the guitar. I used my knowledge of synthesizers and computers to provide backing parts for my guitar playing. The results reflected my early rock influence as well as my later interest in Jazz Fusion. This is where I'm at today.
