Fourth of July, 2005

There's nothing like a good fireworks show to celebrate the Fourth of July. For several years, I went to Vista Ridge Mall in Lewisville, Texas to watch their Fourth of July fireworks celebration, but then in 2005, I had read in the newspaper that Grapevine would be having a show on the south side of Grapevine Lake. Murrell park, on the north side, is one of my favorite places to hang out. I thought it would be perfect to go there for the 4th and watch the show from the other side of the lake.

So armed with my Fuji S5100 digital camera, I headed out there. The pictures I took were very hit an miss. Taking pictures of fireworks involves a certain amount luck. However, I did learn a few things that I was able to use the next year.
