Trippy
I took a soft pad and used the crossfilter technique with another sound. The second sound uses an LFO set to a square waveform shape to modulate the filter at a moderately fast speed. As I close the filter on the pad sound with the modulation wheel, I also open the filter of the second sound.
To make things more interesting, I layered a third sound. This sound also uses the LFO to modulate the filter. Its LFO is set to a sawtooth waveform shape. The LFO's speed is set to a fairly fast speed. I also set the modulation wheel to modulate the filter's cutoff. The amplitude envelope is set to slowly fade the sound and eventually fade it back out.
I run all this through a ping-pong delay effect.
What I like is the randomness of the sound as the two LFOs set to different speeds interact with each other. I also like how as the third sound fades out and I bring the modulation wheel back home, the soft pad sound reasserts itself bring back a bit of order.
